Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
CSP Screener is a personal, invitation-only tool for screening cash-secured put options,
operated by Ryan Garrett ("we", "us"). It includes the CSP Alerts text-message program. This
policy explains what we collect, how we use it and the choices you have. Questions:

Information we collect
- Sign-in details. Your name and email address, and the account identifier
from the sign-in provider you use (for example Google).
- Brokerage data. If you connect a tastytrade account, we receive read-only
access to it: account numbers, positions, balances, transactions and market data. The app
cannot place, change or cancel orders. Your tastytrade access token is stored encrypted.
- Notification details. If you add a phone number, chat webhook or browser
push subscription, we store it encrypted, together with a record of your consent (the time
and the version of the wording you agreed to) and a log of the messages sent to it and
whether they were delivered.
- Settings you save, such as screening profiles and alert preferences.
- Technical data. Server logs with your IP address, the pages requested and
timestamps, used for security and troubleshooting. We set a sign-in session cookie and a
cookie that remembers your light or dark theme. We use no analytics, advertising or
third-party tracking.
How we use it
- To run the screener for you: read your positions, build trade suggestions and show
profit and loss.
- To send the alerts you asked for, by text message or the other channels you add.
- To keep the service secure, prevent abuse and fix problems.
We do not sell your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
Text messages (CSP Alerts)
We use your phone number only to send the CSP Alerts messages you opted in to: verification
codes and trading alerts. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or
affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. All the categories of sharing
described below exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information
will not be shared with any third parties. Reply STOP to any message to opt out, or HELP for
help. See the SMS terms.
Who we share it with
Only with service providers that run parts of the service for us, and only what each one
needs:
- Amazon Web Services, which hosts the app and its backups.
- Twilio, which delivers text messages.
- Your sign-in provider (for example Google), to sign you in.
- tastytrade, the broker you choose to connect, to read your account.
- Discord, Slack or your browser's push service, only if you add one of those channels.
We may also disclose information if the law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety
of users or the service.
How long we keep it
- Market data and screening results: about 60 days.
- Alerts and message logs: 180 days.
- Security records (sign-ins and account changes): one year.
- Backups: 14 days.
- Your account, connections and settings: until you remove them or ask us to delete your
account.
Security
All traffic uses HTTPS. Brokerage tokens, phone numbers and webhook addresses are encrypted
at rest. Access to the server is limited to the operator. No method of storage or transmission
is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
Your choices
- Reply STOP to any text, or remove the number in Settings, to stop text messages.
- Disconnect tastytrade at any time; you can also revoke access in your tastytrade
account.
- Email help@vertical13.com to see, correct or delete your information.
Children
The service is not meant for anyone under 18, and we do not knowingly collect information
from children.
Changes
If we change this policy we will update the effective date above, and tell signed-in users
about material changes in the app.
